We are so grateful to all who contribute to the life of our parishes with their time, talent or treasure. We are especially grateful to those who have increased their offertory amount. We know it is not easy, but it makes a big difference in the finances of our parishes, the quality of service we can provide, and our viability into the future. Thank you! In order to make our offertory process easier and safer, we will offer the possibility of electronic giving. It is important to note that our traditional methods of giving have not gone away: you can still use your envelopes, or make cash or check donations at the Sacrificial Offering Station located at the back of each of our churches, or in the weekly collection at Mass. If your financial situation does not allow you to contribute to the parish monetarily, please remember that your presence among us is already a wonderful contribution, that you can support us through volunteering and by praying for us, that you are always welcome!
Electronic Funds Transfer: The Envelope Alternative
What is Electronic Funds Transfer?
Electronic Funds Transfer is an arrangement you make to have funds moved electronically from your bank account to All Saints, Holy Cross or Saint Anthony Church. In other words, it’s a non-cash, non-envelope way to make your Sunday contributions to the parish without any paper changing hands. This transaction happens through We Share, a service that will charge your account and make payment to the church.
What is We Share? Is it safe? Will I have to pay extra fees?
WeShare is managed, designed and built by LPi, or Liturgical Publications. LPi is the supplier of our parish bulletins and offers a safe and secure method of managing our online contributors. The site is certified PCI Level 1 compliant providing the highest level of data security. LPi has never had a breach in the system, and all information is stored securely. You will be charged no fees for this service.
How does it work?
You fill out the form below to tell us how much you wish to contribute to the parish each month. If you wish, you can also specify an additional contribution for Capital Improvements on this same form. Then weekly on Sunday or monthly (on the 1st or the 15th), depending on the date you choose, We Share will charge that amount to your bank account and make payment to the Church. You will see the transaction on your monthly bank statement.
Why should I consider this?
You benefit from the convenience of not having to write checks or trying to find envelopes at the last minute. Instead, you will have made a conscientious decision to plan your regular giving to support the parish. Also, you will help the parish save on the costs of mailing envelopes and bank charges for processing checks. You will also help the church reduce costs for data entry and make it easier for us to provide you with accurate end of year contribution statements. Both you and the church also enjoy greater security, as fewer people are involved in handling cash or checks.
What will people think when the collection basket comes around and I do not put anything in?
Do not worry, we will provide donation cards at the entrances of each of our churches, so that if you have made a donation through electronic giving, you can take one of those cards when you enter church and put it in the collection when it comes around.
Do I have to change my bank?
No! The electronic funds transfer is done with whatever bank you presently use and our bank.
If I want to stop using this procedure, how do I do that?
This is as simple as sending an email ([email protected]) or calling Fr. Gagnier (607-288-2350). You can discontinue this procedure at any time with a two week’s notice. If you wish to temporarily suspend your payments, this can be done simply by an email also.
